You Snatched My Heart

While you should show your love for the people you care about all year, it seems February is especially the time to do so. With Valentine’s day quickly approaching, it’s time to start thinking about unique ways your Box can get in the spirit.

What should you do? Well, below are a few examples of ways Boxes across the nation are showing their love that might spark an idea for you.

CrossFit Absecon

Absecon, New Jersey

Valentine’s Day Massacre

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, CrossFit Absecon hosts a team competition the weekend after Valentine’s Day. Competitors are teams of two with one male and one female. The competition has the goal of being convenient, keeping it down to two hours total with no more than 12 minutes of wait time between workouts. The Box hosts four sessions — two for Rx teams on Saturday and two for scaled teams on Sunday.

CrossFit Undeniable

Westminster, Colorado

CrossFit Speed Dating

This event is just like traditional speed dating, except with a little more sweat. Over the course of 60 minutes, participants will meet each other and get in a great workout while they’re at it. Athletes will rotate from station to station. Each station starts with a short question to get to know one another. Then, they’ll perform as many reps of a specific exercise as you can in 60 seconds prior to moving on. Of course, there will be food and drinks after in case participants want to get to know someone a little more.

CrossFit Zachary

Zachary, Louisiana

Culinary Day Camp

Valentine’s Day is known for chocolate. Even if you are single, you are probably still eating chocolate around this time. CrossFit Zachary is taking advantage of this by hosting a culinary day camp for kids. They will teach the kids how to prepare a heart-healthy breakfast, snack and lunch. They are also providing arts and crafts, along with games and activities.

CrossFit Prowess

Seekonk, Massachusetts

Galentine’s Day

Not every has or wants a significant other or a relationship, but that doesn’t mean you can’t embrace the love you have for your girlfriends. At CrossFit Prowess, the women celebrate Galentine’s Day, the day after Valentine’s Day. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish, some drinks and their workout gear. After the workout and food, they have plans to watch a movie at the Box.
