What Type of Leader are You?

For the past several weeks in this blog, I’ve talked about different facets of extreme leadership, based on the book “Extreme Ownership” by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin.

One of them was the belief aspect. A leader needs to believe in the mission before his or her team will. If a leader doesn’t believe in what they are trying to lead, the team will pick up on this and respond negatively.

I’ve also touched on the topic that there are no bad teams, only bad leaders. A leader has incredible influence. For example, if the leader is unmotivated or yells at his or her teammates all the time, the rest of the team will begin to reflect it. There will be infighting and a lack of motivation all around the table. Yet again, the team will respond negatively.

With that in mind, it’s time to find out what type of leader you are in your Box. The short quiz below is composed of questions with answers that will lead you to one of four leadership types. No type is better or worse than the other. However, each has its strengths and weaknesses. Once you take the quiz, evaluate your leadership style. Identify its positives and negatives. And become a stronger leader through this realization.
