Episode 2: Confessions of an Affiliate


In America, there are 28 million small businesses located around the country, as stated by the U.S. Small Business Administration. You, Affiliate, are one of those small businesses.

Entrepreneurship can be a difficult road, but you have traveled it. You have pursued your dream, and it may not have been easy the entire path. There are challenges you face every day, with staff and your space and the members who continually come through the door.

In 2014, Charlie Sims, the co-owner of CrossFit Regeneration in Louisville, Kentucky, wrote a blog for Box Pro called Confessions of a CrossFit Gym Owner. He got real as an Affiliate whose been through the tough job of opening and running a Box. Recently, Box Talk invited Sims back to dig deeper into his blog, and get honest again about his business.

Sims hashes out the story of how CrossFit Regeneration opened and the lessons he’s learned since the gym started in 2012. He offers up confessions when it comes to hardships he’s had to face in terms of staff, space and his membership.
