2014 CrossFit Games Open Attracts 204,000 Registrants

It’s official — this year’s Reebok CrossFit Games Open has the highest number of registrants of all time. This year, 204,000 athletes competed, compared to 26,000 athletes that competed the first year of the Games, in 2011.

According to the official Reebok CrossFit Games website, athletes Sam Briggs and Dan Bailey won this year’s Open Workout 14.1, which is a retest of the first ever Open Workout in 2011. Both athletes will receive $2,014.

According to her Games profile, Briggs began CrossFitting in May 2009, and is a CrossFit Level 1 Coach with her own Box, called Train in the UK. According to his profile, Bailey has been doing CrossFit for less than two years, and is also a CrossFit Level 1 Coach.

14.1 called for a 10-minute AMRAP of 30 double unders and 15 power snatches.
